Contest
One month before the premiere of the international photo exhibition ART RIGA PHOTO FAIR, we announce a competition for the chance to participate!
The first prize winner will receive the opportunity to exhibit his/her work in a 5m long stand.
Second and third prize winners will receive the opportunity to exhibit their work in a stand with a wall length of 3m.
Contest theme: Light and Shadow
We all carry our own borders between light and darkness—a journey shaped by our personal experiences. Whether it’s a vivid memory of an awkward childhood moment, a quiet morning walk through autumn mist, or the warmth of sunlight after a storm, each path to the light is unique.
We invite you to capture these fleeting moments of contrast: where shadows meet the light, where memories linger, and where the mundane becomes extraordinary. Share your story through the lens of your camera.
Participation:
Post your photographs on Facebook (FB) or Instagram (IG) with the hashtag #ARTRIGAPHOTO. Your posts will be re-posted on the Art Riga Fair FB page and put in a public poll, where any follower of the page can vote for one or several artists. 50% of the score will be the participant’s place in the public poll, and the other 50% will be the jury’s votes in order of priority. The public poll will be updated on a weekly basis.
The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers with an application deadline of 10th of November
Location: Latvian Railway History Museum, 2a Uzvaras Boulevard, Riga, Latvia
Dates: 19.11-24.11
