Art Riga Fair Paper 2026

International Exhibition of Graphic Art, the first edition. ART RIGA FAIR PAPER is dedicated to graphic art as one of the most conceptually rich areas of contemporary art. It highlights the importance of paper as a material, not just as a carrier, but as an active component of the artwork.

From 23 to 29 September 2024, the annual international art fair ART RIGA FAIR takes place for the tenth, jubilee time. This year the fair returns to the Latvian Railway History Museum, with which its beginnings are connected.

From 9 December 2023 to 6 January 2024, ART RIGA FAIR held a winter art exhibition in the heart of old Rīga, on Doma laukums (Cathedral Square) at Pils iela 23.

Art Riga Fair 2023
20–24 September 2023 · Latvian Railway History Museum
The 9th edition of ART RIGA FAIR returns to the Latvian Railway History Museum, the fair's original home since 2014, with around 60 artists and galleries from Germany, France, Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, the USA and Latvia. According to rus.lsm.lv, this was the first time in the fair's history that Lithuanian and Estonian artists had such expanded representation.

Art Riga Fair 2022

The 8th edition of ART RIGA FAIR left its usual museum setting for Zunda Towers, a newly opened high rise on the Riga skyline, for five days of contemporary art from around 50 local and international artists and galleries from Latvia, Germany, France, Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia and Italy.

After a year's pause forced by the pandemic, ART RIGA FAIR returned for its 7th edition, running 3 to 16 October 2021 at a new central venue, the "Vernisāža" entertainment and events centre on Tērbatas iela, in place of the Latvian Railway History Museum used in surrounding years.

The 6th edition of ART RIGA FAIR welcomes galleries and artists from Japan, Germany, Canada, Iceland, Russia, Poland, Belgium, France, Italy, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus and Latvia, including first time participant Systema Gallery from Japan.

Timed to Latvia's centennial, the fifth ART RIGA FAIR brings galleries from Mexico, Indonesia, China, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Latvia to the Latvian Railway History Museum.

Art Riga Fair 2017

The 4th edition of ART RIGA FAIR gathers galleries and artists from France, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Mexico, Indonesia, Germany, Italy, Georgia and Latvia at the Latvian Railway History Museum, with over 1,000 artworks on show. The fair was originally announced for 20 to 25 November before moving to its final dates, 7 to 13 November. Dali Universe (IAR Art Resources Ltd, Switzerland) returns for a second year, again bringing authenticated works by Salvador Dalí.

Art Riga Fair 2016

Marking its first small anniversary, three years after its 2014 founding, the 3rd edition of ART RIGA FAIR returns to the Latvian Railway History Museum with a memorial exhibition for painter Tadeusz Lapinski, a contemporary of Mark Rothko born in Daugavpils. Russian-language press reported that the day after the opening was dubbed "Lapinski Day", though no official Latvian proclamation has been confirmed. Among the exhibitors is Dali Universe (IAR Art Resources Ltd, Switzerland), bringing authenticated works by Salvador Dalí to the fair.

The 2nd edition of ART RIGA FAIR brings around 20 galleries and artists from Germany, Italy, Russia, Latvia, Georgia, Israel, Indonesia, the USA and Switzerland to the Latvian Railway History Museum, with 21st century painting, photography, sculpture, multimedia and rare books on show.

The very first edition of ART RIGA FAIR, an international contemporary art fair at the Latvian Railway History Museum with galleries and artists from fourteen countries, among them Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Georgia, Estonia, Indonesia, Israel and Latvia. A later edition of the fair's own site would describe it as founded "to mark Riga's status as European Capital of Culture" that year, "with transactions exceeding half a million euros."
