8 November, VIP Private Banking and Media Opening Day

The first day was reserved for art dealers, gallery owners and critics, opening with a performance by Anna Kolosova.

9 November, "ArtTravel. Wonders of the World"

A conference held as part of the fair's Genius Loci Europe talks cycle.

"Documento Futurae"

A discussion, also listed on the fair's own site as "Future Documents" and linked to Andris Teikmanis, tied to the Art Academy of Latvia's Centenary Art Future project.

11 November, "Art in the Urban Environment"

A roundtable with architecture theorist Aleksandrs Rapaports and journalist Igors Vatoliņš.

"Slow-Mover" side programme

An Indi Piano Fest, under the stated patronage of Dmitry Shostakovich Jr., paired with the video-art strand "Familia": Lucas Gervilla (Brazil), Dima Goryachkin (Russia) and Dasha Delone, shown alongside experimental films by Dmitry Plavinsky, Jannis Kounellis and others.

12 November, Social Programme: "100" / "Latvijai 100"

An installation of 100 pairs of Latvian folk mittens, made by the Pensionāru Iespēju Centrs, dedicated to Latvia's approaching 2018 centenary.

Workshops

An etching and mobile graphic-printing workshop, a water-drawing workshop, and an art-therapy session titled "Motus Vita" ran alongside the galleries.

Parallel exhibition at Rietumu Capital Centre

Running 1 to 25 November 2017, alongside artists from Paris' Karavan Gallery, Shalva Khahanashvili, Karim Borjas, Belka Lassare and Jacques Crenn, and from Moscow's Everything Is Art Gallery, Lydia Vitkovskaya, Denis Mikhailov, Dima Goryachkin and Dasha Delone, plus Happy Art Museum (Riga) artists.

"Art & War"

A philosophical dialogue at the Euroclub venue between architecture theorist Alexander Rappaport and philosopher Alexey Romanov, moderated by journalist Igor Vatolin. Euroclub, the fair's co-organiser, billed itself as a five-years-running weekly forum for "intelectual discussions, films, guests" at its home in Galleria Riga, Dzirnavu iela 67, 7th floor.

For exhibitors

Application deadline was 30 September 2017; the selection commission ruled on applications within three weeks of receipt. Booth prices: 1,800 EUR for a white hall booth; in the main (big) hall, 2,000 EUR for 50 m², 2,500 EUR for 80 m², and 3,000 EUR for 100 m². An extra advertising page in the catalogue cost 400 EUR. Each participant received 5 catalogues and 5 invitations; a separate catalogue could be ordered for 500 EUR. Payment terms: 30% of the invoice within 10 days of receipt, the balance by 1 November; the organiser did not charge VAT on its invoices.
